PHILADELPHIA (AP) Wilson Valdez's RBI single with one out in the 11th inning lifted the Philadelphia Phillies to their eighth straight win, 3-2 over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Off the field, the Phillies improved their chances of winning a fourth straight NL East title by acquiring three-time All-Star Roy Oswalt from Houston for J.A. Happ and two prospects.
