A federal judge has released tapes of police interviews with Alfonso Rodriguez Junior.

On the tapes, investigators catch Rodriguez in a lie

about being at a movie at the time Sjodin was abducted.

That particular movie wasn't playing.

Rodriguez admits he was near the crime scene but claims he never met Dru.

On the tapes, Rodriguez mumbles, stammers, and claims he can't remember where he was that Saturday.

(Investigator): The whole package." (Alfonso Rodriguez): "Yeah, but you're trying to say by my past that's gonna convict me." (Investigator: Not just your past... no no no... There's a whole lot of other things here."
