The Fitterer twins from Bismarck continue to take baby steps on the road to recovery at Mayo Clinic.

Both Abygail and Madysen Fitterer moved from critical to serious condition today.

Representatives from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota say post-operative swelling has gone down, and the girls are now receiving food through tubes.

On Wednesday, doctors successfully separated the twins who were born conjoined at the chest.
