More Smokers Calling ND Quitline

It's been a little more than three years since North Dakota's Tobacco Quitline was launched. And one official says it's an overwhelming success

Michelle Walker is the cessation coordinator for the state Health Department's tobacco prevention and control program. She says more than 250 people call the Quitline every month, looking for information on how to kick the tobacco habit

Walker says about one-third of the people who quit are still tobacco-free after one year. She says anytime the so-called "quit rate" is above 20 percent, it's considered a success. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
