New anti-terror measures disrupt British air travel again

LONDON (AP) A fourth day of air travel chaos in Britain.

Airlines have canceled almost a third of their flights from London's Heathrow again, blaming new security measures imposed after the foiling of an airliner bombing plot.

Airline executives are again complaining to the government this time asking that police be called in to help with new screenings that have made many passengers miss their flights.

Home Secretary John Reid tells the B-B-C that Britain is already asking Homeland Security officials in the U-S to ease the new restrictions on carry-on liquids.

British Airways canceled almost a hundred flights from Heathrow to Europe today. Ten B-A flights to the U-S were also scrubbed.
