Elgin couple and their granddaughter die in crashApr 14 2009 10:44AM
Associated Press Elgin, Minn. (AP) Residents in Elgin are remembering three people who died in a fiery crash over the weekend. Sixty-seven-year-old Dale Stahl and his wife, 59-year-old Jo Ann Stahl, were killed Saturday after their car crashed into a tractor near Elgin. Their 17-year-old granddaughter, Jessica Klindworth, also died. A 16-year-old granddaughter was injured. The driver of the tractor, 65-year-old Bradley Herman of Rochester, suffered minor injuries. Officials say that after the car hit the tractor, it veered into a ditch and caught fire. Herman and another passer-by used a pry bar to get the girls out of the car, but they couldn't get the Stahls out.
