BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) Montana State track and field coach Tom Eitel has announced the signing of a junior college jumper.

Matthew Nicholas is transferring to MSU from Iowa Western.

Nicholas, who is from Essex, Iowa, has qualified three times for the junior college nationals, twice in the long jump and once in the triple jump.

Eitel says he thinks Nicholas can help the Bobcats in jumps and sprinting.
