Man to be arraigned Thursday for son's slayingMay 26 2009 9:56PM
Associated Press BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) A 65-year-old man accused of fatally shooting his son at a home near Fromberg is set to be arraigned on murder charges Thursday. Larry B. Daniels is being held at the Yellowstone County jail on $500,000 bail for the May 21 death of Buddy Daniels. Court documents state that during a taped interview, the elder Daniels told authorities he shot his son with a revolver during a heated argument. When Lt. Josh McQuillan of the Carbon County Sheriff's Department asked Daniels if he intended to kill his son, Daniels said, "I used to be a Sacramento sheriff. Any time you pick up a gun and you pop a cap, your intent is to kill." Larry Daniels' arraignment will be held in District Court in Carbon County.
