PIERRE, S.D. (AP) Taxes are going up or changing in seven South Dakota cities on July 1. The Department of Revenue and Regulation says increases or extensions take effect in Big Stone City, Bonesteel, Estelline, Eagle Butte, Elk Point, Mission and Mobridge.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) Lake Poinsett (Pahn'-set) is turning out record fish this spring. Three state records have been set at the lake south of Watertown. The latest was a 4-pound, 5-ounce black bullhead caught by Adam Arendsee of Watertown.

MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) Transportation will be the theme of the 2010 outdoor murals at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. The panels will display pictures of an airplane, sailboat, bike, motorcycle, hot air balloon, stagecoach, car, train and other forms of transportation.
