ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) There's a guilty plea in the case of a broken bank window during the Republican National Convention. Jason Allan Sparks of Fridley made the plea to aiding and abetting first-degree criminal damage to property on Monday and faces up to 60 days in jail. He will also have to pay restitution.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Minnesota has one of the highest four-year high school graduation rates in the country. According to education Week magazine, Minnesota was fourth in the nation with 79.2 percent of high school students graduating on time. The national average was 69.2 percent. The rates are for 2006.

GRAND MARAIS, Minn. (AP) Authorities say they found the body of a 20-year-old man who apparently drowned in the Cascade River just west of Grand Marais. Victor Torrel of Virginia was reported missing Saturday night. He was found the next day. Cook County Sheriff's officials say it appears the incident was an accidental drowning.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The uncle of a Somali teen who was killed in Somalia last week says his family had been trying to bring the teen to the U.S. Embassy in Kenya. Burhan Hassan was 17 when he left Minnesota for his homeland. Hassan is the second known Minnesotan of Somali descent to die in Somalia. The first was Shirwa Ahmed, who died in October in a suicide bombing.
