Minn. ATVs aim for world record for longest paradeJun 13 2009 8:38AM
Associated Press ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) All-terrain vehicle riders will attempt to set a world record on Saturday in Silver Bay, on Minnesota's North Shore. The All-Terrain Vehicle Association of Minnesota will try to line up more than 2,000 ATVs into the longest parade documented for Guinness World Records. It's the second attempt for the group. Last year's parade fell 55 four-wheelers short of the current parade record of 1,138 ATVs, set by the Harlan County Ridge Runners of Evarts, Ky., in 2006. Three-wheelers and side-by-side ATVs don't county toward the record. The parade begins at 11:15 a.m. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 06-13-09 0828CDT |
