Fargo, N.D. (AP) Heavy rains this past week and the prospects of more on the way has weather forecasters and others keeping a close eye on the Red River. Scattered thunderstorms are forecast to move through Fargo today and some could bring heavy rain.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) Police say a Moorhead man confronted and shot an intruder who walked into his unlocked apartment early yesterday. The intruder was taken to a Fargo hospital where he died.
