Associated Press MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Demolition crews used nearly 200 pounds of explosives this morning to bring down the Lowry Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis. The bridge had stood since 1905 but was declared unsafe last year. It had connected north Minneapolis with northeast Minneapolis over the Mississippi River. Construction on a replacement is due to begin this fall. Garrison, Minn. (AP) Relatives say searchers have found the body of a Maple Grove man who disappeared while fishing on Mille Lacs (mil-LAX') Lake last October. Mike Hedin's stepson, Scott Robbe, says the 59-year-old's body was found in the water yesterday in Garrison. ROSEVILLE, Minn. (AP) A 16-year-old boy has drowned while swimming at a lake in Roseville. Ramsey County authorities were called to Lake Josephine last night. The youth was pronounced dead at Regions Hospital. His name has not been released pending notification of relatives. EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) An Eagan woman has been crowned Miss Minnesota. Brooke Kilgarriff competed as Miss Twin Cities. She will represent Minnesota in the Miss America competition in January.
