NEW YORK (AP) Police in New York say a Brooklyn day-care center where police officers shot an armed man during a robbery attempt yesterday was being used as a drug haven. POND EDDY, N.Y. (AP) A man in Sullivan County, N.Y., was electrocuted early today when he tried to cut through a downed power line with an industrial saw. Officials say the accident happened in the presence of firefighters who'd been guarding the fallen line. They say the 64-year-old man was drunk and ignored orders to say away from the cable.
