Emerado woman runs van into houseJun 30 2009 8:45AM
Associated Press EMERADO, N.D. (AP) The police chief in the northeastern North Dakota town of Emerado says a suicidal woman rammed her van into her own house. Chief Tim Gillespie says the woman was distraught over personal problems when she knocked on his door Monday and told him she wanted to hurt herself. Gillespie says the woman then got in her van, backed up into a neighbor's driveway, then drove across the street into her yard and hit her house going about 45 mph. The chief says the vehicle went through a wall and into a dining room area. The 35-year-old woman was taken to a Grand Forks hospital for a mental health evaluation. Gillespie says he plans to cite her with reckless endangerment. Information from: Grand Forks Herald, http://www.grandforksherald.com (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
