Associated Press Bismarck, N.D. (AP) A group that funds developers of North Dakota farm products will consider about $53,000 in grant requests at a Thursday meeting in Medora. The Agricultural Products Utilization Commission will review four projects, including one from an Oakes group that wants to build a prototype farm scraper. BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) North Dakota farmers are watching as Congress considers restrictions on financial markets. A congressional report had found aggressive speculation in the wheat futures market disrupted normal price patterns and hurt the ability of farmers, grain processors and others to hedge against risk. Devils Lake, N.D. (AP) A Minot man is recovering in a Fargo hospital after authorities say he crashed a stolen car as he tried to evade state troopers who began chasing him on state Highway 20. The state patrol says 18-year-old David Haskin ran through a tire-flattening device and later hit a traffic signal pole at the junction with U.S. Highway 2. (AP) The Custer Military Trail Historic Archaeological District in western North Dakota has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
