Hillsboro, N.D. (AP) A man has been given a three-year suspended sentence and ordered to pay $800 in fines and fees in a case stemming from a crash that killed a woman last year in Traill County. Ryan Berggren of Walcott entered an Alford plea to reckless endangerment charges, meaning he maintains his innocence but agrees there's enough evidence to convict him in the death of 72-year-old Barbara Mueller of Cummings.

(AP) The University of North Dakota says it has suspended Hockey player Matt Frattin for at least two games after an incident in which Frattin and former standout Joe Finley allegedly threw dinnerware, a lawn mower and other items onto a street. Police say the 21-year-old Frattin and the 22-year-old Finley are charged with disorderly conduct.

Fargo, N.D. (AP) North Dakota State head Football coach Craig Bohl says he's disappointed by the latest in a string of player drunken driving arrests. He says playing sports at NDSU is a privilege and not a right. Backup linebacker Blake Sczepanski was arrested last weekend in Fargo and charged with DUI. He's the fourth player to be cited for DUI in the last six months.

Bismarck, N.D. (AP) Pronghorn licenses available for this fall's hunting season in North Dakota are down nearly 50 percent from a year ago. The Game and Fish Department says the drop is due to the harsh winter and unfavorable spring weather.
