Associated Press SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) A study says a casino across the border from Sioux Falls in Lyon County, Iowa, would take millions from South Dakota if built. The report by the Flandreau (FLAN'-droo) Santee Sioux Tribe says the state of South Dakota would lose $18 million a year in video lottery revenue. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) Mediation on a contract between the city of Yankton and a newly formed employee union has been delayed. A mediation session scheduled the past week was postponed when a mediator assigned by the state Department of Labor could not attend. Both sides have declined to disclose the details or areas of disagreement. CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) Cheyenne Frontier Days has crowned a new slate of rodeo champions from a field of about 1,600 contestants. Jake Rinehart of Highmore, S.D., is the steering wrestling champ. Five-time National Finals Rodeo champion saddle bronc rider Billy Etbauer of Edmond, Okla., broke through for his first Frontier Days saddle bronc title. PIERRE, S.D. (AP) Families that want to receive Century Farm recognition at the South Dakota State Fair have until Aug. 20 to apply. The Century Farm program recognizes farms or ranches where at least 80 acres of original land have been owned by the same family for 100 years or more. Nearly 2,100 have been recognized already.
