BELFRY, Mont. (AP) A stretch of Highway 72 between Bridger and Belfry is open again after a semi-truck crash and fire killed two people.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the crash happened Sunday morning when the driver of a semi-truck lost control, overturning the vehicle in the front yard of a home near the road. The rig was hauling oil, and it caught fire.

Trooper Chan Barry says two people were killed in the crash, a man and woman from Montana who are believed to be in their 40s.

Sgt. Craig Baum says those inside the house were able to evacuate with no injuries, though the fire did cause some damage to the home.
