Standoff ends peacefully in Oakes, NDAug 9 2009 5:23PM
Associated Press OAKES, N.D. (AP) An Oakes man is in custody after a standoff with police that lasted for more than nine hours. Oakes Police Chief Mark Roberts says 36-year-old Francisco "Frank" Castro was arrested Sunday afternoon after talking with negotiators. Neither Castro nor the three children he had locked up with him inside the house were injured.
