DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) Sensational mare Zenyatta has improved her record to 12-0 with a victory in the Clement L. Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar.

Ridden by Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith, Zenyatta stayed perfect on Sunday against six rivals.

Anabaa's Creation was second and Lethal Heat third. Three horses were scratched from the Grade 1 race at 1 1-16 miles on the synthetic surface.
