5 Jamaican athletes cleared of dopingAug 10 2009 1:11PM
Associated Press KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) Jamaica's anti-doping commission says it is unable to prove five of the country's athletes used a banned substance at the national championships in June. The Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission said Monday it couldn't determine whether the undisclosed substance was on the prohibited list and therefore had to clear the athletes. The ruling will be reviewed by sport's governing body before the athletes can compete in the world championships in Berlin from Aug 15. The athletes had previously been identified as Yohan Blake, Sheri-Ann Brooks, Allodin Fothergill, Lansford Spence and Marvin Anderson. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
