Dickinson Police are investigating a murder suicide.

This morning 43 year old Dickinson resident Tracey Osborn was found dead in the trunk of her car, 51 miles north of Dickinson in Dunn County at an oil rig site.

Authorities do not have all of the details, however they believe Osborn was killed by her estranged husband Jamie Osborn yesterday morning.

The incident started outside of Tracey Osborns home.

"there were witnesses at the time the inncident occured but it didn't occur to them that something of this magnitude may have been taking place so they didnt' call anybody or alert anybody and then when we received the call from the family then we learned that yes something had taken place outside the residence"


Jamie Osborn's body has also been found. The 41 year olds body was discovered yesterday in a wooded area in Miles City, Montana. Authorities say he died of a self inflicted gunshot wound.

While authorities say Tracey was killed by her husband Jamey, they are not realeasing how she was murdered.

" all the puzzle pieces aren't put together yet, there are more interviews to be done more investigation to be done we're awaiting some autopsy results which will be quite some time so exactly what transpired we don't know "


A person of interest has also been arrested in the case. She is 27 year old Melissa Cady Angerer of Dickinson.

She's being charged for disobeying a judicial order, more charges against her are possible.

Authorities say there was a restraining order against Jamie Osborn after a July 18th incident between the couple. Osborn was accused of cutting Tracey's throat. The couple was still married but not living together. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
