Elevator Full in TaylorSep 1 2009 7:05PM
KXMBTV Bismarck All those bushels are filling elevators up fast. At Southwest Grain in Taylor they can start the day with room for 60-thousand bushels of grain but that fills up before noon. That means their 2.5 million bushels of storage is filled to the brim. Terminal Manager Randy Unruh says for the last 2 weeks they've been dumping 200 to 250 thousand bushels of winter and spring wheat a day. That's about 25 trucks an hour. (Randy Unruh / Terminal Manager) "I am working on time cards right now and there are some pretty good pay checks. Basically someone has been here since 4 5 in the morning, getting things ready for the day and we have been here till 9 ten at night. I've got some pretty good guys so we don't all have to be here at the same time." Unruh says in the last 2 weeks they've loaded 5 trains. That's 550 cars of wheat.
