(AP) A former conservation officer with the Department of Natural Resources has pleaded guilty for felony drug possession and will be on probation for five years. Authorities said they found Valium, steroids, marijuana and oxycodone during a search of 47-year-old Brian Patrick Buria's home in Bigfork. ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Court of Appeals says Rice County must pick up the bill for a court-appointed private attorney who represented an indigent mother in a child protection case. The county said it shouldn't be responsible because a public defender could've taken the case. ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) A new law that requires Gov. Tim Pawlenty to report staffing arrangements to lawmakers shows that state agencies kicked in $676,000 to support Pawlenty's staff in the most recent budget year.
