Officers with the North Dakota Highway Patrol say a local man was killed this afternoon after driving his pickup into a ditch.

The Patrol identified the victim as 50-year-old Robert Rham of St. John in Rolette County.

Authorities say Rham was driving on the blacktop from Calvin to his rural home when he struck an approach, sending his vehicle into the roadside ditch.
