Gilby bank robbery suspect pleads not guiltySep 18 2009 9:06AM
Associated Press Grand Forks, N.D. (AP) A second suspect in an armed bank robbery in the northeastern North Dakota town of Gilby has pleaded not guilty. Forty-six-year-old William Collins of Nashville, Tenn., is set for trial Nov. 3. Collins was arrested after being stopped for speeding in Minnesota on Sept. 1. The FBI earlier had issued an arrest warrant for him in the May 26 heist in which more than $50,000 was stolen from the Bremer Bank branch in Gilby. Another suspect in the robbery, 63-year-old Clifton Patterson of Grand Forks, was arrested earlier this summer in Mississippi, where he once lived. Both men are jailed in Grand Forks.
