Associated Press Bismarck, N.D. (AP) North Dakota's Supreme Court will hear the appeal of former state workers compensation director Sandy Blunt on Oct. 21. Blunt argues the law doesn't justify his felony conviction on charges he misspent more than $10,000 in Workforce Safety and Insurance money. RUGBY, N.D. (AP) A day care provider in north central North Dakota is on trial on charges of felony child abuse. Authorities allege Lori Voeller physically abused eight children at her day care in Rugby. She has pleaded not guilty. BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) The owner of a Bismarck mall who's being sued by former store owners also faces lawsuits in California. Court documents filed by insurers in California accuse Raymond Arjmand of insurance fraud, racketeering and bilking tenants. (AP) A $2.5 million renovation project is progressing at the Sacred Heart Monastery near Richardton. Prioress Sister Ruth Fox says the four-decade-old facility needs changes so several older sisters can get around more easily.
