KXMBTV Bismarck Two men and two women from Alabama accused of a robbery, a shooting and a standoff plead not guilty to numerous charges. But for three hours they challenged why they were even charged... Donnell Preskey has more from this afternoon's hearing... Their plan was to get out of the country... Now their foiled run from the law could mean their time behind bars is just beginning... 4 - 10:30 (Henning) Three hours of testimony went through the crimes that happened June fifth and sixth and why Joshua Southwick, Ashton, Angela and Jacquelin Mink are all charged in Stark County It started with a robbery at the Movie Gallery in Dickinson... Authorities say Southwick and Angela Mink robbed the place stealing cash, dvd's and the keys to the store. 1-15:30 A female trooper caught up with them making their getaway... All four are charged with conspiracy to commit murder for shooting at her... Their escape route took them to a farm near Gladstone where a 14 hour stand off with authorities began and ended.. 3-34:30 Shortly after Ashton and Jacquelin Mink came out. 3 - 35:20 (A-strike) says the Minks fired first officers fired back.. 4 - holmes state failed All defense attorneys say there's a lack of evidence connecting each client to the crimes 4 - 22;20 - rusttad However because the charges are for conspiracy as long as they played any part in the crime - including planning or agreeing they can be found guilty. Authorities say Southwick and Ashton Mink escaped from an Alabama prison in May and that Jacquelin and Angela Mink helped them.
