The Canadian Snowbirds are flying in the US this weekend.

The precision flying team is headlining the Wings of Freedom Two airshow in Sidney, Montana tomorrow and Sunday.

Jim Olson was in Sidney today as the Snowbirds swooped overhead and landed at the Sidney-Richland Airport to prepare for the weekend show.

The Canadian Snowbirds gave the people of eastern Montana a little taste of their show today - flying in formation as they approached the airport in Sidney where they'll present their 45-minute show tomorrow and Sunday. Their advance team of two Canadair CL-41 jets had already arrived and those pilots were busy with their jobs - preparing for the show. The Snowbirds fly nine jets in formation - but bring in a total of 11 jets for the show. Captain Dan Rossi is one of the advance pilots - he takes care of telling the crowd what they're watching.

But the Snowbirds aren't the only atatraction of the show- it also features accomplished aerobatic pilots from the area and from Minot, Pierre, South Dakota, and othe locations. All day today, those pilots were arriving at the airport, getting themselves familiar with the area so they'll be ready to perform. Air show chairman Alan Seigfreid says, as a pilot himself, an air show is exciting.

(Alan Seigfreid, Air Show Chairman) "We look up every time we hear the noise. We go to air shows and dream about doing those aerobatics and it's exciting to be a part of the show." (Cap. Dan Rossi, Snowbirds Pilot) "This is going to be a nice little show. It's going to be a real hidden gem."
