Associated Press Bowman, N.D. (AP) Authorities in southwestern North Dakota are searching for a hit-and-run driver whose vehicle struck and killed a woman crossing U.S. Highway 85 in Bowman. The Highway Patrol said 42-year-old Belinda Kay Messer of Bowman was trying to cross the road at a city intersection shortly before 9 p.m. Friday when she was struck. Messer was pronounced dead at the scene. Highway Patrol Sgt. Will Vance said the intersection has no traffic lights. He said officers are hoping someone saw something and will come forward.
