You might recall, the week the RoughRider Honor Flight left..

.we went into a local school as students were writing letter to the veterans.

The letters are known as V-Mail.

They are handed out to veterans throughout the trip to let them know people are greatful for their service.

We tracked the letters written by the students in the story you saw last week...

(Veteran) Dear w-w-two veteran. Hi, my name is Macy. I know how your family felt when you left. In 2007 my father left for Iraq for 18 months. I still remember the day he came home. it was the happiest day of my life. But it wasnt as scary as when you went. Thank yo so much for your service

(veteran) "Dear veteran thank you for serving and protecting our nation. it mean a lot that you served and protected us. You were out there and being brave a brave person. Thank you from Jordan."
