Ellendale College celebrates 60 years

Eds: APNewsNow.

ELLENDALE, N.D. (AP) Trinity Bible College in the southeastern North Dakota town of Ellendale is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

About 400 former students and their families from across the United States are expected for the event Thursday through Sunday.

The Assemblies of God college's mission is to educate and develop men and women for church ministry around the world.

What became Trinity Bible started in Devils Lake in 1948, moved to Aberdeen, S.D., in 1960, and then to Jamestown in 1967 before buying the former University of North Dakota-Ellendale campus in 1972.

About 300 students are enrolled at the college each semester.
