Reward offered for information on elk shotOct 1 2009 12:50PM
Associated Press Parshall, N.D. (AP) The Three Affiliated Tribes are offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever shot a bull elk near Parshall. Tribal Game and Fish Director Fred Poitra says there is no elk hunting season on the east side of the reservation. Hunting is allowed only on the west side in the Mandaree area. Poitra says the elk likely was shot over the weekend. Only parts of the animal were harvested. The carcass was found by a Tribal Council member who was horseback riding.
