KXMCTV Minot (Paul Hagen, Polar Ware) "It's nice to make a product that can compete, worldwide." Polar Ware is a family company headquartered in Wisconsin, that set up a plant in McClusky 9 years ago. Raw steel arrives here in large coils weighing up to 6-thousand pounds. Workers in McClusky turn that steel into pans, utensils, or many other products. A total of 230 differant items for the food industry or for medical use. They also package items for Sam's Club, a contract they picked up within the last year, with more work for Sams Club in the coming months. (Paul Hagen) "Thank goodness we have a sales staff with foresight in sales and in our company." 30 people are employed here, and it's steadily growing. Polarware is constructed this warehouse for added storage of raw materials as well as finished products. Hagen says in the not- to- distant future they will be adding onto the manufacturing division, as well. (Paul Hagen) "We have a huge impact on the area economy and the state economy." Hagen says people in small towns like McClusky live here because they choose to, and they are thankful there's a strong company like Polarware that enables stay in rural North Dakota.
