Over the past several years, "Viking on a Stick" has become a popular food item at the Norsk Hostfest, but another Viking on two sticks has also become a mainstay at the festival.

"Thor the God of Thunder" isn't hard to pick out of a crowd, as he towers over Hostfest visitors and vendors.

When he's not wielding his famous hammer and helmet, he goes by the name David Braddock.

Braddock first began training as a mime, but soon transferred his skills to acting.

He also plays the part of a troll, which you'll see wandering the festival grounds.

This is Braddock's 6th year at the Hostfest, and he says there are several things that keep him coming back for more.

(David Braddock, "Thor") "All the wonderful folks of course! And what people tell me is, I must be doing something right or they wouldn't be asking me back. I think it's because I have so much fun when I perform, so I think that's what makes the real difference is just to keep people smiling because you're smiling."


In addition to Thor, Braddock says he's played hundreds of characters throughout his career, including Uncle Sam, Ebeneezer Scrooge, and Santa Claus. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
