Eds: APNewsNow.

Bismarck, N.D. (AP) Minnesota pro angler Scott Steil came from second place and 8 pounds down on the final day of fishing to win the Wal-Mart FLW Walleye Tour Championship.

Steil, of Richmond, Minn., caught five walleyes weighing 21 pounds, 4 ounces on the Missouri River in North Dakota to give him a two-day total of 10 walleyes weighing 37 pounds, 12 ounces. That was about 3 pounds more than second-place Tony Renner of Hutchinson, Minn., who had the lead going into Saturday's final day.

Rounding out the top five were David Anderson of Amery, Wis.; Carl Adams Jr. of Blackduck, Minn.; and Todd Riley of Amery, Wis.

More than 100 anglers from 16 states and Canada fished in the four-day tournament. Steil earned $105,000 for the title. Lowell Joy of Bemidji, Minn., won the amateur division.
