Fresh off of a 2 point win over Carrington, the Minot Ryan Lions Football team can move closer to a playoff berth when they host Beulah on Friday in west region play. The Lions are 3-1 in the region and Friday's game will be the team's last regular season home game. The Miners are coming off of a win over Bottineau and Lions coach Matt Lundeen says he expects to run into a typical physical Beulah team.



Matt Lundeen, Ryan football coach:They got some big guys across the line. They run hard. They're gonna come right after you. I know they played us well last year so I think our kids are excited to come out and meet this opportunity at hand. Pretty much we got to take care of business like we've been doing defensively all season. You know be able to stop the run, fly around and make plays and also be prepared for the pass.

Evan Kramer, junior:They got some good athletes. They'll take it to us. They like to run the ball but I think we're ready for them.

Aaron Kasper, junior:We're really pumped up. We're looking to come out hard. Beulah's got a good team this year, they got some shifty running backs and we think we're prepared for what they got and we're gonna come out and play hard.
