Police say homeless man found in hospitalOct 10 2009 6:11AM
Associated Press BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) Bismarck Police say a homeless man won't face charges for spending the night in an empty hospital room. Police Sgt. Dwight Offerman said security officials found the 48-year-old man in Medcenter One's neurology unit last weekend. Offerman said there was no sign of damage to property and the city attorney decided not to prosecute. Offerman said the man told officers he arrived on a bus from Fargo and had nowhere to go. Medcenter spokeswoman Kim Long said the man apparently stayed in part of the hospital that is not staffed on weekends. Offerman said the man was admitted at a patient after he was found, and likely would be given a formal notice that he had been trespassing. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
