Five-thousand fans of 70's 80's and 90's music are expected to be in the Minot area next July for the first ever Thunder Mountain Rockfest.

The rockfest is set for July 8th. 9th and 10th, in an area off Highway 52 near Sawyer. Organizer Corey Hanson, who lives in Grand Forks, was in Minot today as he prepares for the festival. Go to www.tmrockfest.com and you'll see that several bands are lined up, like Blood Sweat and Tears, The Guess Who and Foghat. Hanson says a total of 12 bands will perform over the three days, a couple of them still to be signed.

Thunder Mountain Rockfest was announced last week, and since then Hanson says the response has been terrific. He says they will launch ticket sales next Monday ( a week from today) by selling two for one tickets, on Monday only. Camping passes will also be sold.
