The Calendar may say early fall but many North Dakota roads were in dangerous wintery driving conditions this morning.

Icy roads and bridges led to two deaths and dozens of early morning crashes.

The Highway Patrol says snow and ice were factors in a pickup crash that killed a Wyoming man east of Bismarck on Interstate 94. The patrol says the 57 year old from Cody, Wyoming was a passenger in a pickup driving by another man from Cody that overturned.

His name was not immediately released.

The Highway Patrol says another pickup rolled several times on a frosty Interstate 29 bridge deck early Monday, killing the driver.

Authorities said 49-year-old Manuel Perez of Cavalier was thrown out the driver's side window and died of his injuries. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
