HELENA, Mont. (AP) Up to 85 bighorn sheep could be shipped from Montana to Utah and Washington under a proposal endorsed by the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission. The sheep would come from three areas, including the Sun River on the Rocky Mountain Front and hunting districts near Deer Lodge. The receiving states would pay all associated costs.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) Authorities say a 32-year-old woman is dead after crashing her car into a tree near Montana City, southeast of Helena. Jefferson County deputy coroner Shaun Gardner says Kimberly Morse of Anaconda died at the scene Sunday night. She was wearing a seat belt and had to be extricated from her vehicle. Road conditions were clear and dry.

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) The Bozeman City Commission has decided to suspend the city manager for one week without pay for his role in a background check policy that required job candidates to provide login codes for personal e-mail accounts and social networking Web sites. Chris Kukulski's suspension was approved last night. It's expected to occur in the next 30 days.

ANACONDA, Mont. (AP) School is out for the rest of the week in the Anaconda School District, primarily because of high absenteeism from the flu. Schools were open yesterday, but superintendent Tom Darnell says 315 students called in sick. Classes are canceled today and tomorrow. Schools were already slated to be closed Thursday and Friday for teachers' meetings.
