Associated Press SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) The state Health Department has confirmed two more swine Flu-related deaths in South Dakota, bringing the total to four. Officials say deaths have occurred in Minnehaha and Pennington counties. The Health Department does not name victims of the H1N1 virus because of privacy rules. But according to family, the Pennington County death was an 8-year-old Rapid City boy who had other health problems. Health officials say the Minnehaha County victim was more than 60 years old. South Dakota's first two swine flu deaths were residents in their 30s and 40s, in Shannon and Todd counties. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 10-23-09 0720CDT |
