Minn. to unload cars, tools in surplus auctionOct 24 2009 6:11AM
Associated Press ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Everything from 3-year-old police sedans to well-worn Golf carts and riding lawn mowers are on the state auction block. Minnesota government agencies are unloading dozens of cars, yard equipment, bikes and power tools Saturday as part of a surplus goods auction in Arden Hills. Most of the nearly 200 automobiles were formerly used by the state patrol or transportation department. None have fewer than 20,000 miles on them and some even have 10 times that much. A pink scooter, few pairs of sunglasses and a pair of men's shoes size 10 1/2 are also there for the taking. Buyers have to take the item as-is and they have to settle up on the spot. And all sales are final. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 10-24-09 0600CDT |
