Jets' Miller eager to make good on return to NYOct 29 2009 5:02PM
Associated Press By DENNIS WASZAK Jr. AP Sports Writer FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) The New York Jets found the replacement for Leon Washington in the man he replaced: Justin Miller. Miller will return kickoffs for the Jets on Sunday against Miami in his first game back with New York. Special teams coordinator Mike Westhoff says Miller looks good in practice and he's eager to see if the 2006 Pro Bowl selection can be the explosive returner he was in his first stint with the Jets. Miller suffered a serious knee injury in 2007 and was replaced by Washington as the team's kickoff returner. Miller was cut and signed by Oakland last season, and let go by the Raiders after one game this year. When Washington went down with a broken leg, Westhoff said he immediately thought of Miller as a potential replacement. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
