Associated Press KABUL (AP) Afghan President Hamid Karzai's challenger plans to call for a boycott of next week's runoff election. Abdullah Abdullah's campaign manager says the candidate will call for an interim government to run the country until a new vote can be held after the winter when officials have had time to organize a fair election. CLEVELAND (AP) Police in Cleveland have arrested a convicted rapist after finding as many as six bodies at his house. Fifty-year-old Anthony Sowell found in his inner-city neighborhood around noon. Police say Sowell spent 15 years in prison for a 1989 rape. DETROIT (AP) Ford and the United Auto Workers agreed several weeks ago on contract changes aimed at cutting the automaker's labor costs. But now it appears workers are saying no. A person briefed on the voting says the changes are being rejected by large margins. Local unions have until Monday to complete voting. PHILADELPHIA (AP) A big sports weekend in Philadelphia could be disrupted by a transit strike. The Phillies host the New York Yankees tonight and tomorrow, while the New York Giants visit the Eagles tomorrow. The union representing bus drivers, subway and trolley operators is threatening to strike if a contract agreement isn't reached. The deadline is 6 p.m., about two hours before the World Series game. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) Crews in San Francisco Bay are skimming shipping fuel off the water. The work comes a day after a fuel line on a Panamanian-flagged oil tanker ruptured, leaking as much as 800 gallons.
