Fargo, N.D. (AP) Police say a suspect is in custody in Oklahoma in the slaying of a Fargo dentist. Formal charges are expected tomorrow against the 41-year-old man. The body of dentist Philip Gattuso was found last Monday night in his ransacked Fargo condominium. Authorities say he died of a head injury.

(AP) Construction of the Jamestown Regional Medical Center is to start this fall, thanks to $46 million in loans from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The $52 million hospital is expected to take 20 months to complete. The USDA approved $31 million in direct loans and $15 million in guaranteed bank loans for the project.

(AP) A former resident of Manvel wants to turn the northeastern North Dakota community into "the best antique town" in the state. Diane Hoverson's "Manvel Matters" idea includes a four-building antique village, a spruced-up main street, a farmers market and an RV park. Manvel is north of Grand Forks and has 370 residents.

The city's Public Works and Safety Committee is recommending the City Council develop a proposal to assess the railroad crossings in Minot to see what changes might be needed.
