Associated Press Bismarck, N.D. (AP) Gov. John Hoeven isn't giving Republican state lawmakers any hints about whether he'll take on Democratic Senator Byron Dorgan next year. Montpelier Representative Craig Headland says thinks Hoeven will get in the race. But Fargo Representative Jim Kasper says the governor has no reason to make an announcement just yet. Grand Forks, N.D. (AP) Grand Forks police say a man reported biting into a sewing needle stuck in his child's Halloween candy. The man suffered a small wound in his mouth. Police say it shows why it's important for parents to check candy for signs of tampering. MENOKEN, N.D. (AP) A Bismarck teenager was killed and four others were hurt in a weekend crash near Menoken. Lisa Burdolski died when the SUV she was riding in rolled over and struck two trees. Mandan, N.D. (AP) A weekend crash took the life of a 21-year-old New Salem man. Cody Wetzel was killed Saturday when his car spun off a road 10 miles west of Mandan and flipped over. Wetzel was thrown from the wreckage and pronounced dead at the scene.
