Settlement reached in Minot water lawsuitNov 3 2009 1:04PM
Associated Press Minot, N.D. (AP) A settlement has been reached in a lawsuit over a Minot-area water contract. The Minot City Council approved the settlement Monday. It's with the North Prairie Rural Water District and the Northcentral Rural Water Consortium. The water boards approved the settlement earlier. If a federal judge signs off on the settlement, it would allow the North Prairie water system to serve the communities of Enbridge and Surrey. The rural water groups sued Minot in April, alleging the city failed to abide by a water contract.
