Rodriguez says Michigan is undaunted by challengeNov 9 2009 11:26AM
Associated Press AP Photo MITD110, MITD112 By LARRY LAGE AP Sports Writer ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) Rich Rodriguez says the Michigan Wolverines are not daunted by their challenge. Rodriguez says Monday his players know a bowl game is in sight. The Wolverines, though, will have to pull off an upset to play in the postseason. They close the regular season Saturday at Wisconsin and at home against rival Ohio State. Michigan has lost five of six to drop to 5-5 one win shy of bowl-eligibility. College Football's winningest program lost a school-record nine games last year in Rich Rodriguez's debut season in Ann Arbor and failed to earn a bowl bid for the first time in three-plus decades. The Wolverines wasted a two-touchdown lead Saturday against Purdue, which won in Ann Arbor for the first time since 1966. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
